Fruit Bagging & Diagnostics
3-Layer Bagging System 🟡 C
🟡C — Local validation required. Efficacy data specific to Taiwan Pink on Vertisol not yet published. Trial on sample trees before full orchard deployment.
Pre-Bagging Spray Directive
Azoxystrobin 0.1% + Neem Oil 2 mL/L — apply 24 hours before bagging. Fruits must be completely dry before bagging.
⚠ Verify CIB&RC registration before application. PHI must be observed.

RSC/SAR Remediation Caveats
⚠ RSC and SAR remediation doses must be calculated from actual water chemistry analysis — do not apply at a fixed rate. Obtain a complete water chemistry report before calculating Gypsum or acid dosage.
Procurement Calculator
Base quantities keyed to 2,100 trees. Scaling formula: actual trees ÷ 2,100 × base quantity, rounded up to nearest whole commercial unit.

Critical Warnings
The following practices carry documented risk of significant crop loss or tree mortality. Review before each operational phase.
⛔ Premature Cropping (Year 1)
Allowing fruit to develop in Year 1 diverts energy from root and canopy establishment. Remove all flowers in Months 8–12.
⛔ Root-Collar Waterlogging on Vertisol
Waterlogging >48 hours causes root asphyxiation and Fusarium wilt entry. Maintain drainage furrows before monsoon.
⚠ Tractor Rotovation Near Trunk
Rotovating within 1.5m of trunk severs feeder roots and creates wound entry points. Use hand-weeding within root zone.
⚠ Glyphosate Drift
Drift onto green wood causes defoliation and systemic damage. Use shielded applicators; maintain 3m buffer from canopy.
⛔ Calcium Nitrate + Phosphate/Sulphate Tank Mixing
Mixing Calcium Nitrate with phosphates or sulfates causes immediate precipitation, blocking drippers. Use separate tanks.
⚠ Unperforated Plastic Bagging
Sealed bags trap humidity, promoting Anthracnose and physiological disorders. Use only perforated LDPE or paper bags.
⚠ Insecticide Spray During Full Bloom
Broad-spectrum insecticides during anthesis kill pollinators. Suspend chemical insecticides during full bloom (7–10 days).
⛔ Chemical Deblossoming on Trees < 12 Months
Spraying Urea or NAA on trees under 12 months causes phytotoxic burn. Manual deblossoming is the recommended safe alternative.
⚠ Abrupt Re-irrigation After Drought
Resuming full irrigation immediately after Month-16 drought causes fruit splitting. Reintroduce gradually over 5–7 days at 30→60→100%.
⚠ CIB&RC Disclaimer: All pesticide recommendations must be verified against current CIB&RC registration. Pre-harvest intervals (PHI) must be observed.
